Ooh, A Book!!

“The Casual Vacancy”, J.K. Rowling’s new book, which is coming out on September 27th this year, has unveiled it’s bright cover!!

This book, described as “blackly comic, thought provoking, and constantly surprising” is aimed for adult audiences, and it’s publisher, Little, Brown Book Group has revealed the following about the plot

“When Barry Fairbrother dies unexpectedly in his early forties, the little town of Pagford is left in shock. Pagford is, seemingly, an English idyll, with a cobbled market square and an ancient abbey, but what lies behind the pretty facade is a town at war. Rich at war with poor, teenagers at war with their parents, wives at war with their husbands, teachers at war with their pupils…Pagford is not what it first seems. And the empty seat left by Barry on the parish council soon becomes the catalyst for the biggest war the town has yet seen. Who will triumph in an election fraught with passion, duplicity and unexpected revelations?”

Personally, I think it sounds really interesting, as I quite like mysteries, and comedy, and it is definitely on  my ‘to read’ list. According to this article, it will be about 500 pages long – yay!

What do you think??

On a completely different note, can someone please take the time to explain to me exactly what the reblog button does? I don’t have twitter or anything like that, but was under the impression that it posts the same blog-post onto your own blog…

What are the courtesies of this? Do you ask permission, or do you just do it, or what??

Thanks very much,

Let’s call me Lily
