While I don’t like rom-coms very much, I do like the actors in Love Actually, which stars a conglomeration of famous actors including Bill Nighy, Martin Freeman (although I didn’t really see any of him, as he’s a bit busy ‘filming’ porn in the movie, so I skippedy-doo-da’d out of there) Rowan Atkinson, Alan Rickman, Colin Firth, Hugh Grant, Liam Neeson, Laura Linney, Emma Thompson and Keira Knightley. So that was what first attracted me to the movie. Then, there was the fact that it was somewhat of a classic, and it was by Richard Curtis, whose Four Weddings and a Funeral I had quite enjoyed. Additionally, all my friends had seen it, and it’s always a bit annoying to be out of the loop.I ended up enjoying the Liam Neeson and Thomas Brodie-Sangster parts, which I found particularly amusing, as well as the wide variety of love displayed in the film, including familial love (yay!). There were also some great one-liners, such as “There was more than one lobster present at the birth of Jesus?”“Duh!”So, I can now confidently toss rejoinders that refer to Love, Actually whenever it is being discussed. Mission Accomplished!
