WHAT??? I had absolutely no idea that the pay gap was so enormous!
Good on Downey Jr., because from my perspective, there was no lead role in the Avengers, it was a superhero group film, which means that all the main actors and actresses should have been paid the same.
What do you think of this situation?
Personally, I don’t believe that Marvel can afford to re-cast someone apart from Downey Jr. as Iron Man, because the public outrage would be spectacular, especially after they’ve read this. So, hopefully they’ll reconsider the pay cheques, because Avengers was a beautifully cast film.

Joss Whedon has revealed that he has ‘no intention’ of making Avengers 2 without Robert Downey Jr.
Downey Jr is currently in negotiations to return as Tony Stark and his superhero alter ego Iron Man in Avengers 2 and 3 with director Whedon keen for him to get back in the suit.
He told Daily Beast: ‘He is Iron Man. He is Iron Man in the way that Sean Connery was James Bond.
‘I have no intention of making Avengers 2 without him, nor do I think I’ll be called upon to do that.’
Downey Jr is reportedly campaigning for his Avengers co-stars to get a pay rise for the sequel.
The Iron Man 3 star, who received a staggering $50 million pay cheque for the first film, is fighting for his co-stars – who only got a paltry $200,000 – to get a cash boost, accordng to Deadline.
